Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Yield: 25 cookies

2/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

2 oz chocolate chips, melted PLUS 2 Tbsp butter

2/3 cup brown sugar

1 ea egg PLUS 1 ea egg yolk

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar


In bowl, add the first 5 dry ingredients, mix well. In a separate bowl, melt chocolate and butter together until smooth, then add brown sugar, egg and yolk, and vanilla. Mix well. Add these wet ingredients to your dry ingredients in the first bowl. Have granulated sugar and powdered sugar in 2 separate bowls. Roll the cookie dough into small balls, then drop each into the granulated sugar first, then the powdered sugar. Place on sheet tray with space in between and bake at 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes. The cookies should be soft.
