Meet Chef Cody Anderson

We dropped into the kitchen this week for a quick Q&A with Chef Cody!


Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Waller, Texas.


What do you enjoy most about living in Houston?

I really enjoy how diverse the food scene is in the city.

When did you know you wanted to be a chef?

I became a Chef twelve years ago.

Where did you study?

I studied at the Art Institute of Texas, and then worked in the best restaurants in Houston to continue my hands-on education.


Why do you enjoy being a Chef?

I love cooking for people, it is my way of making people happy.


What is your guilty pleasure?

I love to eat sweets!


What are your favorite ingredients to cook with right now?

I enjoy cooking with pork, beef, garlic and butter.


What do you want for your guests who attend a class at urbanCHEF?

I want our guests to have a blast first and foremost; I also hope they will learn something they can take home with them.

Saffron Cream Sauce
