Hawaiian Ribeye Marinade

1 cup low-sodium soy sauce (must use low-sodium!)
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar, (tightly packed
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
3 ea garlic cloves, bruised/smashed
1 inch piece ginger, freshly gratedor chopped
Simmer all ingredients for a couple minutes, until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool. Use to marinate steaks for at least an hour and up to overnight.
NOTE: Do not use regular soy sauce, the steaks will be too salty.
