1 Tb Butter
1 Tb olive oil
1 pound haricots verts or green beans, trimmed
1 shallot, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and Pepper to taste
Melt the butter with the olive oil. Add the green beans and cover. Sauté on medium heat until beginning to brown (about 5 minutes) add the shallot and sauté uncovered until aromatic. Add the garlic and sauté until softened. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve
