Serves 6
Ingredients
6-8 heads of bok choy, quartered lengthwise
½ - 1 cup soy sauce
2 tsp rice vinegar
4-6 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste.
Oil for searing
Directions
In a large skillet over medium heat, warm enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
Place the bok choy cut side down into the skillet being careful not to overcrowd the pan (work in batches if necessary). Sear for 1 minute.
Turn the bok choy to the other cut side then add about 2-4 tbsp soy sauce, a splash of rice vinegar, and about 1 clove of minced garlic. Cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Remove all contents of the pan to a serving dish and repeat the process until all of the bok choy has been braised. Taste and then season with salt and pepper as desired then serve.
