Au Gratin Potatoes

2 cups heavy cream

1 stick of butter

4 cloves garlic, sliced

4 russet potatoes, thinly sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 cup of parmesan cheese

salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350F

Heat the heavy cream and butter with the garlic in a medium sauce pan until just simmering

Layer the potatoes and onions in a baking dish, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper and cheese, ending with the cheese.

Pour the heated cream over the potatoes and bake until browned and the potatoes are tender, about 45 minutes.
