Pork Dumplings


For Filling- 1/2lbs pork ground (can substitute ground turkey or chicken)

1 tbs soy sauce

1 tbs scallion

1/2 tbs ginger

1/2 tbs sesame oil

1/2 egg

2 cloves garlic


For Sauce

1 tbs rice wine vinegar

1 tbs sesame seeds

1/2 tbs ginger

1/2 tbs scallion

¼ c soy sauce


Cooking

1 cup of water per batch of 12 dumplings

1 tbs oil per batch


For filling mix all ingredients together and set aside, for sauce whisk all ingredients together and set aside,

To fill dumplings put one tablespoon of filling into wrapper wet edges of wrapper with water then fold in half only allowing the very top of the wrappers to meet and seal

Then start from right to left making little folds in the side of the wrapper closest to you and seal completely.

Cooking- Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place 8 to 10 dumplings in the pan and cook until browned, about 2 minutes per side. Pour in 1 cup of water, cover and cook until the dumplings are tender and the pork is cooked through, about 5 minutes. Repeat for remaining dumplings. Serve with soy sauce mixture for dipping.
